My latest obsession is Tradesy – a website that let’s you sell your clothes online without the typical hassles of consignment shops.
I try to spend a few times each year cleaning out my closet and being honest with myself about what I wear and what I don’t. This usually results in a huge bag of clothes in great condition that just don’t fit right or that I’ve outgrown (the problems of getting older). Sometimes I find things that I’ve never worn at all and still have the tags (we’re all guilty).
I’d lug a huge bag over to Crossroads and end up making a measly amount selling a ton of items (if I was lucky) and donate the rest. I’d cringe when I saw the girl behind the counter take a great pair of jeans that I knew were worth so much more.
Well, I’m happy to say I recently sold two items on Tradesy and made a little over $40 (they take a 9% commission). It was so easy – they sent me the shipping kit and label (postage included) and all I had to do was package it up and drop it off. Now my items are off to their new owners who will make new memories with them. Sounds like a great deal to me!
