A few reading tidbits for this week.
There's something about woven shoes that's caught my attention. My love of woven shoes might have stemmed from seeing these Paul Andrews flats on Instagram during fashion week last year. Ever since, I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair.
Obsessing over these Paul Andrews Dagmar flats
I recently bought these from Zara and can't wait to wear them with dresses and jeans. They're almost like a woven ballerina flat. I also ordered these Freda Salvador flats on sale after eyeing them for months.
Some more of my favorites are below. I can't wait for spring!
I've never been a big pink person, but when it comes to shoes, I think pink can easily be worn as a neutral. These H&M pink mules are an affordable way to try out the mule trend. They remind me of a flatter version of these popular Dear Frances Poser Mules as worn by blogger Atlantic-Pacific here. You can also get them in black or gold. The best part? They're only $18.
I am also in love with these pink H&M satin mules that are now sold out. They have the prettiest bow and are an easy way to add some glamour to your feet!
Check out some of my other favorite pink mules below.
Spring and summer may still be months away, but that doesn't mean you can't start dreaming or planning for a warm vacation. This Zimmermann romper is a warm weather staple. I love the sheer, flared sleeves and the overall cut. The price? Not so much.If you're a fan of this romper style like I am, check out Mango here for an affordable version with a punched up floral print. I love the dark floral print because it can easily be dressed up or down and the bright bursts of red would look good on any complexion.
I'm so excited to share my latest look for less with you! H&M was having a sale the other day and on a whim I purchased these suede loafers in both pink and brown for only $25 each. It wasn't until after they arrived, that I realized they're a great alternative to these gorgeous Mansur Gavriel loafers that retail for $425. They also have a soft heel so you can wear them as slip ons or loafers.H&M's sale is over, but you can still snatch these timeless loafers for $50.
I have to admit, I've been eyeing these leather Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots for awhile. I love that they have a flat heel and are fitted to your calf. Unfortunately, I am often scrape my shoes when walking so there's no way I would pay nearly $700 for a pair of boots that I know I'll likely ruin. When I saw these Zara boots, I quickly added them to my cart and checked out. During their recent sale, they were 30% off. They're leather and super comfortable. I was worried they'd be hard to put on and take off, but that's not the case at all. They're a great investment if you're looking for an alternative to a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots. And, I actually prefer the toe on the Zara boots better. They have a more feminine feel. Which one's your favorite?
Years ago, I bought a dress that came with a navy satin ribbon belt. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled out that belt to make a dress more flattering or to liven up a look. When I saw this J.Crew ribbon belt, I knew that it would have the same longevity in my closet. You can grab this pink one online, but there was also a beautiful merlot and a satin chartreuse. The chartreuse is still available here, but the merlot is sold out. This is definitely a party-ready accessory and with J.Crew's frequent promotions, the price makes it a perfect gift for a friend (or yourself).
I haven't been a huge fan of the bomber jacket trend, but this Frame Denim velvet bomber jacket in the color "spruce" changed my mind. The color is so rich and the style looks great paired with a skirt or dress for an evening out.Fortunately, Mango has a gorgeous emerald green velvet bomber to help you achieve the look for less. For $80, you can try this trend without having to make a huge investment. Check out some of my other favorites below for under $100.
I don't know what it is about living in L.A., but I definitely wear a lot more denim before moving here. This Frame Rowan Femme Chambray Shirt is on my wish list because of the feminine details including subtle pleats. The sleeves appear to have a blousy feel to them too. I definitely plan to look for this shirt during the next Frame sample sale.In the meantime, J.Crew has this gathered chambray shirt to get the same look. The best part? It's 30% off right now with code HOLIDAY.
Two top trends this fall are anything and everything Gucci and florals. You'll easily stand out in this beautiful Gucci floral dress with tiered ruffles. If you like this silhouette, check out this floral dress from Zara. It has tiered layers and is sheer at the shoulders. I love the print and think this would look great paired with a bold red lip and black booties. Another great floral option is this one from ASOS.
Finally! & Other Stories, one of my favorite brands, has landed in Los Angeles on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. Conveniently located across the street from COS, & Other Stories is part of the H&M brand group (as well as COS). The style feels more European and the brand is "built around fashion stories." So far there are two stores in California (including the OC) and three in NYC. You can also conveniently shop the brand online. And don't forget to check out their beauty section - they have a large selection that includes makeup, lotions and even candles. Check out some of my favorite pieces below and be sure to stop by the store if you're in the area. The outside of the building is gorgeous.
Ever since I saw this RedValentino Scallop Coat worn by Atlantic Pacific here, I've been obsessed with it. I love the scallop trim, feminine cut and gorgeous buttons. It's a feminine take on a military-inspired coat.So when I was in COS the other day, I was excited to see this navy scallop coat with a similar scallop trim. While it lacks the standout buttons and exact cut, it's a flattering a-line style and is made of wool and cashmere. The best part? It's $250! Now, if only the weather in Los Angeles would ever cool down. In the land of endless summer, it's hard to ever think about purchasing a new coat when you rarely wear it!

It's sweater season and there's no denying that ruffles are a popular pick this year. From sleeves to shoulder details, there's a style for nearly everyone. It's an easy way to dress up a look and a great choice for the holidays, especially paired with some dark denim. I've rounded up some of my favorite ruffle sweaters that'll do just the trick this fall.
With a unique silhouette, embroidered details and perfectly placed tassels, this March11 Kilim Dress could be perfect for your next vacation. This style may not be for everyone and can look a little granny if not styled the right way. If you're interested in trying this trend, Zara has a navy version that looks great paired with combat boots. Can you see yourself wearing this trend?
Ever since I saw the Clare V. Foldover Clutch, I've been a huge fan. Though I don't own this bag, my favorite is the leopard calf hair version. I'd love to get my hands on it someday in the near future. This striped version is also a great style. If you're looking for a similar bag that won't empty your wallet, Nordstrom has a gorgeous foldover stripe clutch in white or black here for only $25!Which is your favorite?

Just because summer's coming to an end, doesn't mean you have to put away your favorite florals. The new embroidered florals, especially in darker tones, are perfect for fall. I love this Sezane sweater (currently sold out) and this Equipment blouse (not embroidered, but still so pretty).
I have to admit I first saw the Zara version of this shoe and ordered it before coming across these Maryam Nassir Zadeh pumps. I love the black toe cap and nude colored heel. These would look great with a simple white top and jeans along with your favorite coat when it cools later in the fall. Get the Maryam Nassir Zadeh version here for $470. Or head to Zara like I did and scoop up their similar pair here for $40.
